Lazy River Vineyard lies 300-500 feet in elevation, on a steep south facing slope in the northwest Willamette Valley, in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Soils at this unique site include marine sediment and volcanic Jory. Warm sun-filled days promote ripening, while cool nighttime temperatures allow the grapes to develop flavor and acidity. In the glass, the wine is deep crimson in color. Inviting aromas of sweet baking spice and cherry preserves transition into a luscious palate bursting with strawberries, raspberries, and currants. The fruit persists with beautiful length as the wine finishes with notes of dark plum compote and bergamot tea.
